On behalf of the Fellowship of The New Coin Realm, I would like to welcome you to our home on the Internet and thank you for visiting!

 The New Coin Realm was born out of a need for a fellowship of collectors, who enjoy the thrill and the excitement of owning / finding that special coin for their collection.  As a young boy, my father and uncles would save their coins and put them in a jar for us to go through after Sunday dinner; a tradition I still carry on with my family.  I still remember the excitement we all would share, when we found a coin that was different or special to us. We would often imagine the journey of a particular coin, by the shape it was in or the marks it bore.

 As I grew older, I continued to collect those coins that I felt were special enough for my collection.  And as my father did, I passed on my collection to my children, who today, continue in this fellowship.

 And I guess really, that is what The New Coin Realm is all about; sharing in the fellowship with other collectors, the joys, excitement, wonderment and information on our finds and collections.  The New Coin Realm is less about the actual dollar value of these coins, and more about the excitement of our find.  The New Coin Realm is more about the sharing and trading of information back and forth, rather than terms decided upon by so called “experts”, as to what we should call a coin; nickel, dime, quarter, 5 cent piece, 10 cent piece, 25 cent piece.  So how, we have become too attached to terms and grades and other trappings and less concerned about the joy, excitement and fellowship.

  So please, take a few minutes and visit our home here.  See what The New Coin Realm has to offer. As you will discover, there is more here than just coins. There are tributes to passed friends, to those daily heroes we some times take for granted; things to make you laugh, to make you think and some great info.
